Spring Volleyball League
YOUTH VOLLEYBALL
Spring 2012
Girls division open to all girls in Grades 3 - 8 during the 2011-12 academic year.
TEAM FORMATION:
All players need to register individually for this program. Coaches are allowed to form their own teams and should submit a team roster by February 29 (minimum of 9 players is recommended). Individuals who register without a coach will be placed on existing teams or new teams will be formed. Must register before the deadline to be gauranteed placement on a team.
Teams formed according to grade for 2011-12 school year.
PRACTICE / MATCHES:
Practice begins week of March 19 with matches starting Saturday, March 31 and ending May 19. There will be no games the weekend of April 7. All practices and games are played in Blue Valley School District gyms. One practice per week guaranteed and eight matches are schedule over eight weeks: March 31, April 14, April 21, April 28, May 5, May 12, May 19.
One practice ball per team will be provided. Grades 3-6 use volleylite ball. Grade 7 and 8 use regulation volleyballs.
Game balls provided for all league games. Teams provide own uniforms.

STANDINGS / AWARDS:
Grades 3-4 are instructional leagues. No standings are kept and all participants receive a participation award at the end of the season.
Grades 5-8 will keep standings. Awards given to first and second place in each division.
